some Blacks in Liberty City who tried to cast their ballots in the early voting
process yesterday found the same problems that officials vowed to fix. Among those

A handful of residents from Miami’s poorest neighborhoods turned out Friday to
voice their disdain for Miami-Dade Commissioner Dorrin Rolle’s repeated absenteeism
at community forums, and his refusal to meet with members of the group. About
15 members of Low Income Families Fighting Together turned out to the JESCA Center
on 54th Street to deliver a letter to Rolle voicing their concerns and inviting
the commissioner to a Sept. 5 community forum.
