Ruben Studdard like to be known? “Ruben. Just plain old Ruben,'' responded

Ashanti finally gets a man (and an elephant) in 'Rock Wit U' video
May 28 - June 3. Volume 80, Number 38, Pg 1C
With all her protective Murder Inc. brothers always around, Ashanti
says it's hard for her to get any action, even when she's shooting a
video. With Irv Gotti directing all her clips, we've seen Ashanti exchange
pecks on the cheek, throw her man's keys out the window in frustration
and pin him to the bed to chastise him. But the Inc.'s princess has
never really had a chance to exude that loving feeling on camera until
recently. While shooting a video for "Rock Wit U (Awww Baby)" earlier
this month in Miami, Ashanti got more action than she bargained for.
In the clip, helmed by "Bulletproof Monk" director Paul Hunter, fans
will see the 22-year-old at her most affectionate and adventurous.

Oprah Winfrey continues talk show through 2008
May 28 - June 3. Volume 80, Number 38, Pg 3C
NEW
YORK (AP) — Television's top talk show host, Oprah Winfrey, has had
second thoughts about retiring. Winfrey extended her contract with King
World Productions by two more years, taking her through the 2007- 2008
television season, and agreed to make more shows over the next few years
than planned, it was announced Monday. At her last contract extension,
Winfrey, 49, had said she would quit her show after the 2005-2006 season.
“It's fulfilling being able to do this kind of television,” Winfrey
said, “and I believe continuing to have a voice and a platform to speak
to the world is still the right thing to do.” After a few years of decline,
ratings for The Oprah Winfrey Show have increased this year. She's also
watched her onetime protege, Dr. Phil McGraw, start his own successful
talk show.
