The Miami Foundation's annual Community Grants program for local nonprofit organizations is accepting applications. Amid the pandemic the initiative has been updated to support organizations working across a variety of economic, environmental, health and social issues.
The foundation is looking to invest a total of $1.25 million in work that best serves the city by advancing equity of marginalized people and communities, building on community-led progress and solutions, and rebuilding the city to a new standard of opportunity and excellence.
The maximum grant award is $40,000. Total funding is being allocated to address five distinct categories: access to health and wellness, $225,000); economic stability, $225,000; inclusion of people with diverse abilities, $150,000; sustainable environment, $150,00); and thriving youth and families, $500,000.
