NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of
Miami, Florida on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at 9:00 A.M. at City
Hall, located at 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida, 33133, for
the purpose of granting the following:
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH
ATTACHMENT(S), BY A FOUR-FIFTHS (4/5THS) AFFIRMATIVE
VOTE, AFTER AN ADVERTISED PUBLIC HEARING, RATIFYING,
APPROVING, AND CONFIRMING THE CITY MANAGER’S
FINDING, ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED AS EXHIBIT “B,” THAT
COMPETITIVE NEGOTIATION METHODS AND PROCEDURES ARE
NOT PRACTICABLE OR ADVANTAGEOUS TO THE CITY OF MIAMI
PURSUANT TO SECTION 18-85(A) OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED; WAIVING THE REQUIREMENTS
FOR SAID PROCEDURES; AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION
OF FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $743,000.00 TO THE AGENCIES
SPECIFIED IN EXHIBIT “A,” ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR
PUBLIC SERVICE ACTIVITIES FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2019-2020;
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE SOCIAL SERVICE GAP PROGRAM
FUNDS, ACCOUNT NO. 14010.910101.882000; AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE ANY AND ALL
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE
CITY ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
Said proposed resolution may be inspected by the public at the Office
of the City Clerk, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida 33133,
Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, between the hours of 8
a.m. and 5 p.m., or http://miamifl.iqm2.com five days before the date of
the Commission Meeting.
The Miami City Commission requests all interested parties be present
or represented at the meeting and may be heard with respect to any
proposition before the City Commission in which the City Commission
may take action. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of
the City Commission with respect to any matter to be considered at
this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the
proceedings is made including all testimony and evidence upon which
any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
