88 of Miami, Florida, died March 22 surrounded by family. He was the youngest of five children born in Indianola, MS to the union of the late Willie Wade and Carrie Allen on February 12, 1933. He received his primary education in the Sunflower County Public School System.
He was employed by Greyhound Bus Lines for 41 years and retired in 2003. Percy will best be remembered as the epitome of a family man. A simple man, mild mannered, a gentle spirit, quiet demeanor are just a few of his attributes.
The joys and pleasures of Percy’s life was the unconditional love and devotion he shared with with his family. Additionally, in his spare time he was an avid TV watcher, especially Westerns.
Proceeded in death is his wife, Evelyn and daughter, Joyce Wade. To continue his legacy of love are his children; Percy Jr., Valerie Davis, Carolyn Morrison, Joy Rozier of Jacksonville, FL, Mark Wade, Eric Wade (Maureen) of Ft. Myers, FL, Veronica Wade and Milton Wade (Taniece) of Jacksonville, FL, 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, one great-great grand daughter and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.
A private service will be held for Percy Wade Sr. In lieu of floral arrangements, please donate to any charitable organization of your choice in honor of Percy Wade Sr. Arrangements are entrusted to Neptune Society.
